VK-CAT-PRICE - StatusReady
This page is ready. Everything below was written from the rules the software actually enforces, and from the tests that hold those rules in place.
What it is for
- What a rate was, when it changed, and who changed it — the evidence that a voucher was issued at the right amount.
- It is a reading screen. Rates are set on 3 · Set Prices or on the year itself while it is in draft.
- History is added to and never overwritten: a change opens a new row and closes the old one, so every past figure stays readable with the dates it applied.
What it will not let you do
- Create a rate here at all — use 3 · Set Prices, or the year's own Prices tab while the year is in draft.
- Change any rate whose year is published — return the year to draft, change it, and publish again; or reprice through 3 · Set Prices.
- Change or delete any rate whose year is locked, including a note on it — locked history is corrected with a new rate in a new year, never by editing what was closed.
- Add a rate to a locked year — an addition to closed history is an edit in disguise, and is refused as one.
- Have two rate windows for one offering at one temple cover the same day — close the earlier row before opening the next one. The refusal names both windows.
- End a rate window before it begins, or enter a negative rate.
- Set rates at the window or from the office — pricing is the Premise Manager's.
