What it is for
- What the temple announces about darshan for a period — the hours the doors are open, and any line the office wants read exactly as written.
- Each notice covers a period. Publishing a newer notice for the same temple automatically closes the open-ended one before it, the day before the new one begins, and says so in the older notice's own history.
- A row is either a from-to time or a written line such as "Inside the curtains".
- The same notice prints as the management sheet the office already uses.
What it will not let you do
- Publish a notice whose period overlaps another published notice for the same temple — end the earlier one the day before the new one begins, or leave the new one in draft until you are ready. A date the office typed on purpose is never quietly moved; only an open-ended notice is closed for you.
- Begin two published notices for one temple on the same day — change the date, or take the other notice off the site first.
- End a notice before it begins — correct the To date, or clear it to leave the period open-ended.
- Save a from-to row that ends before it starts, or that runs outside a single day — correct the times.
- Save a written row with no words — type the words, or switch the row back to a from-to time.
- Put anything on the site without the Website Publisher role — ask your administrator to grant it. You can still prepare the notice as a draft without it.
- Publish something already published, or take off the site something that was never on it — the buttons refuse rather than act twice.
