VK-SOC-BOOKING - StatusProcedure still owed
Procedure still owed. What this screen is for, what it will refuse, and who can use it are published below and are accurate. What is not published yet is the step-by-step procedure — the order your own people work in is yours to decide, and it will be written with you rather than guessed at.
What it is for
- Who has the hall, on which day, and for which hours.
- It opens on the calendar, because the question staff are answering is almost always "is it free".
- Staff can also block a date for the trust's own use, and the block refuses bookings exactly as another booking would.
- A hirer needs no devotee entry — a booking with just a name is a diary line, which is what a first-time hirer on the telephone is.
What it will not let you do
- Book a hall over a booking or a block that already holds that slot — the refusal names what is in the way, so the office can say so on the telephone. Choose another time, another day or another hall.
- End a booking before it starts — fix the hours, or tick full day, which ignores them.
- Enter hours outside a single day.
- Confirm a booking that is already confirmed or cancelled, or cancel one that is already cancelled.
- Book a hall at the window — a cashier cannot. Ask the office or the Coordinator.
- What is NOT refused, and staff ask: a handover on the hour is not a clash, a cancelled booking frees its slot at once, and a closed month does not freeze bookings, because no money moves here.
